restricting a 929
Hey Guys. I am the proud new owner of a mint 2001 929. I am new to street bikes. I have a ton of off road experience. (X-motorcroser) I really enjoy being aggressive with motorcycles but this isn't possible for me with a 929. This bike is a hand full. Is there a way to restrict the power until I get a better handle on it?

Be mindful of your speed and how quickly you can get into serious ****tt!!
If you restrict it, you may regret not having the power there when you really need it one day.
If you like riding fast, then do it on a straight road, with no traffic and get used to the speed, then practice the corners(corners are dangerous)!!!
No amount of restriction is going to keep you from being an idiot, ive seen people down there CBR125's on the first day out. I had one ******* try and chase me in rushour traffic on one, i was on a gixxer 1100, thats just asking for it.
Respect your limits and that of your machine!!
There is a devil that lives in my throttle tube, I learned to keep up with him!!
Also the owner of a mint 929!!
Cheers

I agree with Shady and Johnny, its all about self control. If you get comfortable on your bike with restricted power, when you un-restrict it, it will be a whole new bike and you will have to get used to it all over again. The power is there when you want and need, just be easy on the throttle and you will be ok!
