Default Replacing Master Cylinder?

Anyone replaced there from master cylinder with an aftermarket unit or off another bike. Mine is going out and letting air in my lines, my track buddies are persuading my to find a brembo off a ducati or R1 to replace my failing unit. Anyone tried this?

Yeah, stock one here. If you do this mod, I'd really like to know how it works out for you. I just got some stainless lines up front not too long ago, and I think I might be getting a little air in the lines as well. The lever seemed to loosen up slightly.

when I bought my 929 it came with what I believe is a cbr 600 f4 master cyl... I'd have to check tho.. either way its not stock.. I'd like to upgrade tho, I'm not really that happy with it.

I'll hopefully be installing one off a Ducati 999 or an R1 in the next week or two. Damn ebay auctions drive me nuts.

OK guys, I replaced my stock lines a year or two back with the stainless lines. After time, we are thinking that the increased pressure within the master cylinder is causing the seals to break and allow air into the lines. Rather than rebuild it we replaced the entire unit with a brembo front master cylinder off a Ducati 999. Holy F'n stopping power, the 929 has never stopped so fast nor been as responsive as now. Best $100 I've spend on the bike to date.

That's great!! This might be something I'd do in the future!! Thanks for the input!! Did you just have to make sure and get the clip-on size right?? No other changes to lines or anything??

So when you are looking to buy a master cylinder what are you looking at? I just busted mine on my 954 an want to replace it asap. I have been looking on places such as egay but am overwhelmed by the amount of choices. Am I supposed to replace my stock deal with a 19mm or 17mm or what? I have no knowledge on brake setups.
There are some really crappy looking knock-off brands available too. Ran into one out of Thailand. Had the Brembo symbol on it and everything. the dudes listing sucked, obviously didnt know what to write, bad grammer and spelling.
