Default Ready to buy-what to look for

Okay, so I’m very excited to be purchasing my second CBR. My first bike was a 2001 CBR929 and I miss it every day. I regret selling her but life happens and that’s that. Anyway I’ve been without a bike for a year and a half and I’ve waited long enough. I am very seriously considering buying a 2001 929 with 20,000 miles and a fair amount of upgrades. I really just want to know what I should look for and what people here think about the bike. My last CBR I bought for 3k , it had 35k miles on it with a few upgrades but I loved every minute of owning it. I want to take this next bike more seriously and learn as much as possible in the process. I’ve been doing research and keeping my head in the forums for a few months but nothing beats direct feedback , anyway here is the postPhotos don't do justice to this bike. Bike has over $5k of add ons. Fair price is $7.5k but will let go for $4650. The 929RR is hard to find. Very quick (150 HP) and very light, tiny. No scratches or damage from any sort. You can buy the bike and sell the Marvic wheels and get a lot of money back. The Marvic Magnesium wheels alone worth $4k.

20k miles going up as I ride daily.

Clean title in hand.

Fuel injection.

Heated grips.

Steering damper.

Micron exhaust.

Corbin Seat.

Marvic Mag wheels.

New tires.

LED turn signals.

Original oem fairings and plastics, not ebay china plastics which wraps, deform and discolor due to heat. I plasti diped them. Can easy remove it.

The guy wants 4500 for it, I looked up the wheels, yes they are about 3k new, but they’re not new and he rides it daily. I obviously want to pick it up for less.

Any responses are greatly appreciated 🤙

My thoughts are that for $4500, the bike should be in perfect condition with very low miles on it. That bike is not that....

For that kind of money, you could do a lot better in my opinion.

I agree, if the bike is in excellent condition I would be willing to pay 3500 at the very most.
