Default I'm back on two wheels!

Well, after a long summer without a motorcycle I finally was able to purchase another bike.

I bought a 2003 CBR600RR today and so far I love it. I have to register and insure it next week but I'm loving this thing!

It's nice to be back on two wheels and I am aiming to rack up 2,000 miles before the end of the season...we'll see.

Pictures will be around sometime soon, got plans this weekend but hopefully soon!

EDIT: Facebook buddies were bugging me so I took some really crappy ones in my terribly messy garage.

UPDATE!

First full day with the 600rr went great.

I started the day by getting it insured, then headed to the town office to get my new plate and register it.

Took off from there and went on a ~90 mile ride.

That's my route for the day after my errands were done.

A few pictures!

Didn't have very much sunlight for some of them

Nope, it's terrible, I absolutely hate it.

Wait...no...that's not right...I love it, it's awesome!

EDIT: Although I wish the exhaust didn't stick out and wasn't so monotone...maybe I just ride it too easy (mostly under 5K) but it sounds the same until you really get on it, and it's loud the entire time haha

Haha, do you realize who you just replied to? Pull that can and chop a few inches off of it! Do Work! It should be getting cold up there soon, you'll have no excuse not to. Although, modifying stuff on your own does become VERY addicting.

Bahaha, I don't want it any louder, it's already a farty exhaust. If anything I'll probably look at replacing it after I get a steering stabilizer and some other stuff.

I'm not stranger to modification hehe

keep the packing and add some more fiberglass. It won't get louder. And the extra fiberglass will take away the "farty" sound.

Yeah, I have to look at some write ups on the entire process...something about just cutting open my exhaust seems a bit daunting. I'll have plenty of time to research and prepare this winter though.

Short list for this bike so far is...
Paddock stands (christmas gift hopefully)
New frame sliders and bar ends (fake carbon fiber sliders now and the bar ends have white skulls inlaid into them...)
Need to probably adjust the valves
Adjust and trim the muffler

That's about it for stuff I want to get done this winter...hopefully there won't be too much more. I love the bike as it is but maybe I'll get a set of levers too.
