I mounted mine onto my brake fluid resivor with velcro and a i use a thick pice of rubber tubbing like a rubber band around it as insurance. I haven't had any problems yet and it actualy looks pretty good. it also has a good view threw my windscreen. A bit of advice for you, if you dont have a radar and are looking to buy one then get beltronics , escort, or valantine, all the rest of them are ****. i have a beltronics x65 (300$) and i have picked up k band from up to 3 miles away! and it has more then paid for itself. check out radardetector.net for a radar message board if you want to ask any questions or check what other people think. also radarroys.com if you sign up for the newsletter you will get a 10% coupon with free ship from his site for the beltronics, or at least i did a few months ago.

Do you have a wireless detector? I'm curious about upgrading from my 5 yr old Valentine which has been great to me. Maybe it's not upgrading, but I'm sure the technology is slightly better now.
