Does the 01' 929 start in neutral with the kickstand down? If it does, what are some of the reasons it would not. The bike is not in gear, nor is the engine kill switch off. I thought maybe it was a honda thing because my kawis both started in neutral.

 

mine does. i would imagine all bikes would.

 

yes it should still start,is your not starting??

 

mine does as well, my 01 yzf600r does not, I can't remember if it did before I installed the scorpio alarm but I know it didn't afterwards.

its in gear or your kill switch is bad
