Default putting it back together

OK so i tore apart my bike about a month ago to do some deep cleaning and check valve clearance's now im putting it back together and for the life of me can't remember where the rubber flap near the air box goes can anyone tell me where it goes or if i really need it in there. It looks like its part of the airbox but any where it could go would limit air flow?? im lost please help thanks in advance.
