Default RE: power commander question

Download the power commander software from their website, or use the disk included with the PCIII if you have it.

Go to the power commander website, and download the map or maps you want to try.

Use the USB to Mini-USB cable, and connect from your laptop to the power commander that's hooked up to your bike.

Turn your bike on, engine switch on.

The computer should see the power commander.

To load a map, select: Open map file.

Done!

If you got your PCIII used, or there is one already installed, you can select "Get map", and take a look at it and or save it before you try other maps.

Hope this helped ya.

Ooh, one more thing.... If you don't have a laptop, you can remove the PCIII from the bike, and hook up the 9v battery connecter to the PCIII, and bring it to your desktop PC. From there, load the map you want, and leave the battery connected. You can then re-instal the PCIII in your bike, and once it transfers over to the bike's power, you can remove the 9v battery and the map will still be there.

There's good directions for all this stuff at http://www.powercommander.com.

Default RE: power commander question

pixel 6 hit the info right on the head as to how to install a map in the power commander.

as far as running a 954 map in a 929, i have done that and my gas milage actually increased by about 30 a tank and when i installed the closest 929 map to my set-up, i losted it.

it may cause your bike to run a little more rich because the 929 and 954 are different engines but are similiar

i would try the 104-004 map, it is for a full erion racing exhaust and stock filter, because everyone says the stock filter flows better than a k&n.
