Please help.....
Hello my name jessica. .... I broke key in ignition. I was able to get the broke peice out but that was my only key. It is a 2001 Cbr 929. Someone told me the key code is all i would need to get it made but where do i find the key code? Does anybody know can i get a key specially made??? Thanks guys.
Just looked. There are some stamped numbers under there. I looked on 3 different caps and they are all different. It's only a 3 letter code, so I hope that is enough and it makes sense to a locksmith.
Hopefully you have enough key to get the gas cap open.
Hopefully you have enough key to get the gas cap open.
I recently bought bike and the key broke off in the gas cap. The locksmith couldn't get it opened so I broke it open, and to get a new matching cap and key from the dealer is like 270 dollars...so try not to damage your cap. If cap and ignition match, have a locksmith just make one using either of those key holes, or they can pick it open to get the number, or you could pick it to open...carefully. Dont try to unscrew the Allen nuts it won't work.
