Hey QuinC,
newbie here....the undertail looks good. i have the same bike (same color) that you have and i just put an undertail on this past friday. i installed one from Mototeck costing $350 with nearly the same result. it was a pain in the butt and took over 3 hours. still doesn't look all that bad. did you have problems with your turn signals blinking too fast? do you have any problems with the undertail flexing up near the tail light?

Quin.....you get yours from EBay? directions in really bad broken English? I bought the same one (you can see in my gallery) and had a problem with one of the taillights. the hard clear plastic part of it that is bubble shaped fell off. it is just lightly glued to the cylindrical (sp?) cardboard wrapped part that the wires come out of. I emailed the dude and sent him pics and he sent me 2 new ones.

it was a pain to put it but fitment wasn't bad after I got done doing all the cutting. I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do with the inside of my trunk where I had to cut part of it away....it looks like bad now.

yeah i bought mine after seeing how nice yours looked... as for the inside of the trunk i put a pice of foam in there to keep stuff from going inbetween the new and old trunk. i'll probly end up fabricating a pice of aluminin to put in there. i'm also getting an l.e.d strip to put on my licence plate that will have brake and turn signals on it since the lights it came with arent that bright.

Newbie here too. I bought the same undertail from this guy. Fitment wasn't the greatest but I made it work. The LED's on the other hand were GARBAGE. They looked pink instead of red and weren't bright at all which doesn't seem too safe to me. What I ended up doing was CAREFULLY measuring the stock taillight and CAREFULLY cutting out the section of the undertail where the stock light would fit. It came out pretty good. There is a slight gap where the light and undertail meet but I think I can hide it with a nicely fabricated tag/signal bracket.

my lock fit like a glove. I did have to bend the clip that holds the lock in place a little and hit it with the bench grinder to sharpen the points so it dug into the new under tail a little. at first when I put the key in and tried to turn it I would spin the whole lock assembly. not no mo' tho'
