PCIII
Depends on what you want out of the bike. I have more than 4 hp gain out of my RR. I'm at 109hp and the guys running the dyno say 100-101 is high for a stock 600RR. The maps are free on the site so I don't think the 2 or 3 hundred for the dyno and tune is needed. If you change the exhaust, it's needed.
I feel dyno tuning your bike is the best way to get the overall best performance. Each bike and mode is unique to itself. A free map may give you an increase in HP but you'll never know if your bike is performing at 100%.
But like any hobby, you can blow as much money as you want toor you could just ride it. I doubt many of us use our bikes full potential without mods.

I took my bike to a dyno after I did the PC III exhaust and high flow filter and all. I was using the map from the download section and they didn't make any adjustments. Said it was perfect the way it was. So if you're just running a slip on and mot much else.... the custom map is a waste.
