Default Overheating issue

After running it for about 20 min temp got up to over 270, shut it down, seem the fan isn’t turning on, I got the fairings off but not sure what I’m looking for, from what I can find in the manual I think I’m missing the fan motor switch connector, but I can’t seem to find it. Is this the issue? Pics included. Thanks for any help

Looks like your fan is not plugged into fan themo-switch

is there an auxiliary switch hiding somewhere to manually switch it on?

Look at fan itself. Wire connector plugged into fan has 2-wires

1. one wire goes to fusebox and should have power full-time

2. second wire goes to that thermo-switch. Which grounds fan circuit at proper temperature and allows current to flow from fusebox, through fan, then to ground.

I figured out the wires that come from the fan the previous owner had connected together, I pulled them apart and connected them according to a manual I found online (pics below). I let the bike idle, after about 7 minutes temp got up to 240 and the fan still didn’t come on so I shut it off. I’m not the most mechanically inclined but if I could figure this out without a shop I’d like to. Any other ideas on what to check? Has fresh oil change and coolant flush.

First photo is completely wrong with nothing connected to fan-thermoswitch. That 2nd photo looks better.

Unplug that fan-connector and look at wires going to harness:

1. blk/blu wire should go harness and then to FAN fuse. It should have +12v full-time when key is ON
2a. grn wire goes to chassis-ground upstream.
2b. grn wire connects to blk wire downstream at fan and goes to ring-connector to ground radiator

Check fuse E at fusebox, FAN 10a.

Get multimeter and learn how to use it to measure voltage. This is 5-minute fix with multimeter, or less in many cases.

First see if the fan even works, if it does, see if the fan switch works. If you’re not comfortable with auto electrics, pay someone to do it for you.
