Default new tire ....new size...new trouble???

I messed up and put a friends spare tire on my bike its a 180/55/zr17 instead on my 190/50/zr17 it should be fine till I change them back out next week right??

Also I saw my bike has the gear15/43 isn't 16/45 stock so why would someone go down on the rear?and how bad off is my speedo becase of this?

I did a wicked burnout in my shop with the old tire first got some pics I 'll post them soon

Not to worry!

1. The change in sprockets caused a change in final drive ratio from .356:1 to .349:1. A change of 1.9%.

2. The change in tire size changed the final drive ratio another 1.3%.

The total change is the sum of the two, or 3.2%

At a true ground speed of :10mph Your speedo indicates: 10.32
20mph 20.64
50 51.6
100 103.2
150 154.8

The results are 3.2% more torque (faster acceleration) and 3.2% slower top end (5mph, assuming youmotor could pull top gear all the way to red-line!).

See ya!

stock gearing is 16/43 not 16/45 my gearing is 15/45 and my speedo is of 10mph at 60 so it says 70 instead of 60 cause i put my gps on the bike and checked it, but with the tire your bike is gonna turn alot faster

i have a 180 dunlop qualifier on my rear and i love it ! i can get this bike on its side so far its scary ! get out there and ride and you will see what i mean ! the 180 isnt a bad thing you really wont even notice unless you know your bike and how she performs with a 190 on there
