i am getting a 01 929rr and its got a power comander and ful pipes (not sure of the brand), 2 up gearing in the rear, it comes with all the stock parts, but my last bike was a 87 fz1100 who's transmission locked up on me last season while riding it. My question is if there is any way to use the power comander to 'tone' down some of the power so i can get used to this bike and build my confidence up so i dont out ride myself by mistake

 

to an extent you can detune, maybe regear the bike back to stock till your use to it,the main thing is respect the bike or your gunna get hurt

 

Take it easy at first it'll sneak up, on ya dont ride beyond your limits just take time to familiarize yourself with the bike wont take long to get use to the power.
