light blinks 3 shrt and 5 quick?

Default light blinks 3 shrt and 5 quick?

My light is blinking 3 short and five long does anyne know what that code is i looked in manaual but could not figure it out. I do have a header and slip on on it would that set it off? Also would anyone know if the fuel injection suppose to stay running with the key on if not what would cause this? I am new to the fuel injection bikes so dont know much about them any help would be great

Are you sure it is 3 short and 5 long? That would be a code 53, and there isn't one. A code 35 (3 long and 5 short) would be faulty EGCV and air intake valve servo motor.

Does the engine start?

i dont have the codes or know them but is it possible its running code 3 and 50?

A 35 will not prevent the bike from operating normally.

My bike has triggered that MIL as well. It's going to be a PITFA to fix it too, I think. I've only glanced it over, looks tedious.

I just don't make eye contact with it, it will go away...

Actually, it sort of does too. When you put your kickstand up, it will stop flashing and simply stay lit.

Sounds like it's because you have a full system... you or someone else probably removed the servo moter.

Easy test would be to simply hook up the old servo motor, and see if the code goes away. If so, keep it plugged in, but simply not part of the exhaust path. You might even figure out a way to trick the computer to thinking you have the servo moter, even if it's gutted / uninstalled.
