Default holy crap! what could be wrong?

Just riding the bike and it up and dies. The only way to get it started again is put it in neutral and pull in clutch, but it gets more intersting. If I let out the clutch it dies, if I put it in gear it dies, I grab front brake it dies. All these things go away after a minute or two then it runs fine until it dies again and no telling how soon after it starts to run right when it will die again. Now I have noticed from the kick stand a sensor wire with a green connector thats not plugged in to anything and I can't seem to find a mate for it. Could my problems be related to this connector?

kinda sounds like a power problem, the connection is probably your problem, check the pdf manual for the diagram

Its more then likely a wiring problem. As stated get the PDF of the wireing diagram and find were the wires go. Or if you want snap a pic of the wire in ? and see if any of us know off hand. But you need to check all conections and then double check em.

i had a problem like that on my zx-10. it was the clutch sensor. try taking the two wires off the sensor where the clutch lever is on the handle bar and use a jumper wire to connect the two and see if that works. if not back to the pdf.

anytime the kickstand is down, except in neutral the bike will shut off... you have a wiring/connection/power problem... somethign is wrong in the sensor telling the PCM that the kickstand is down so it will shut if off... you have to check your wiring and fix the short

turns out previous owner spliced the wires together eliminating the kickstand sensor. I re-did the sensor and wiring but haven't had a chance to ride due to rain, but now the kickstand sensor works which it didn't before. Now found something new that I'm not sure what kind of problem can come from it, but theres like a butterfly vaulve at the collector from the header which had a groove for what looks like a cable wraps around then up to another something like that under the tank. Mine has no cables and just looked at my buddies and his is all up to snuff. What is this for and what effects does it have?

Honda Titanium Exhaust Valve (H-TEV) switches the exhaust configuration from 360-degrees to 180-degrees at higher engine speeds for easier breathing at high rpm

is it still there? or just the cables removed.. check it out
