Hey guy's thinking about getting an HID kit for the bike, just wondering if any of you guys have experience with them? Wondering if there's a heat issue, as i don't want to melt any of the plastics.. and last but not least.. a recommended brand?

 

No extra heat - less heat if anything.... just lots of light.

I've been staring at these things for a while now myself. Recommended brands are always expensive. Philips kits are pretty much the best you can get right now. But there are a few other good ones.

If you buy a bike kit (one bulb/ignitor/ballast) it's not quite as good of a deal as buying a car kit where you get 2 sets of everything. I was thinking of asking if anyone wanted to go in with me and buy a really nice H7 car kit and split it up.

 

how much are the HID lights for our bikes

 

The kit i am looking at is 179, http://www.sbkshop.com/pc-276-154-h4...hting-kit.aspx i've been told that's a pretty good brand, i'll let ya know how it goes when purchase/install.

 

I have HIDs on my bike...I have them on the high beams and have had them on for about 4 years now.

 

how does it look and how bright are they

 

This is just for the low beam, right? what if you want to up grade high beams too. is there a kit availble for lows and high?

 

I thought the 929 had h7 bulbs?
