Default Help with 01 929

Hey guys im new to this so be gentle...recently i purchased an 01 929rr with 10k on it the bike runs beautifully but when i start it i hear this clicking noise it almost sounds like an electrical relay is this normal? It goes away once the bike is warmed up but is present at every start up until warm. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Is it a repeated clicking, or just one random click now and then?

its repeated if i had to gues id say every 10-15 seconds it makes a single click until warm.

The exhaust will creek and "click" as it warms up. Both mine have done it. If it sounds like a relay or something, see if you can isolate what part its coming from.

it sounds like its coming from right under the gas tank.

tht sounds like the htev aka the flapper in the airbox. when you first start it up look under the bike where the htev valve is, look for 2 cables running from the airbox to the exhaust. its near the shifter. if you see the cables moving when the you hear the click then thats your problem. i removed my flapper sealed the holes welded the htev and installed a servo buddy.
