I have a 2001 929. Im having issues with visibility at night and cant really see past 15-20 feet in front of me. Ive replaced the stator, rectifier, and new battery. ive tried rotating the bulbs in the headlight assembly and till cant get better vision. it wont shine like other bikes. Does anyone have some advice.?

 

Did you try the headlight adjustment screws?

Is it a new problem with the bike? Is it a during high beam or low beam or both? The stock headlights on these bikes aren't very bright.

 

Yes I did. it helped a lil bit. I even changed the stock bulbs to a brighter Bulb and still the same issue.

 

Ive had this issue ever since ive had the bike. I tried adjusting the bulbs, I helped a lil bit, even bought new brighter bulbs and still the same issue. I did notice when I only had one light hooked up, it was real bright til I hooked up the others. Then the same issue came back with not being able to see no more than 15 in front of me at night. its worse on low beam. it has to be on high beam to get "ok" visibility.

 

What is you voltage at the bulb?
