So, from a cold start she starts up, idles at 1k for about 2 seconds, then jumps up to 2k which is the normal cold idle range till she reaches temp, anyways when it jumps from 1-2k i get a really really hard knock feels like someone is taking a hammer to the engine case.. only does it once and it's fine.. I've heard that it might be the starter not disengaging.. just wondering if anyone has delt with the same issue

 

Dont worry about it. for 1 itas a honda for 2 its a honda for 3 its your clutch basket makin a little ruckus. my original 929 motor did it a lot and my new one does exactly what yours does. when your engine RPM's move up and down for that little jump it allows ur clutch basket to slow down and speed up for a second making some noise. no big deal. the 929 is such a noisy bike in general but a screamer. Hope this helps ease your worries.
