Default Getting sick of Ebay peckerheads

So I have been buying quite a few parts on ebay lately and...wow the nerve of some people. I won a rectifier regulator for $2 and the guy wouldnt send it to me making lame excuses. Set a reserve if you dont want the chance of your parts going cheap! Now I just got this message from a seller on a set of gauges that I won for $100. He lives in New Jersey and I'm in Calgary Alberta and as far asI know thats in the same solar system. Heres his pasted message"i shipped it out today but fex x was giving me hard time on the gift thing and the charged me 60 not 30 they said it could only be shipped
International Priority for what ever reason but the good news for you is it will be at your door monday if you can me sum money to help cover the extra cost it would help me out a lot here is your fedx tracking #XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

WTF $60 to ship gauges? He could of shipped with USPS air for $10. I already feel I paid to much for shipping @ $30. What would you guys do? Fork up to help him out? Seems kind of odd to me

Also I've sold quite a few items on Ebay, and have under estimated on shipping before. I would of never tried to recoop the extra cost from the buyer. That is part of selling on ebay. I think it takes a lot of nerve to pull stuff like that. As a seller you have to suck that kinda stuff up. Take it as a lesson learned. Give accute quotes. Sorry I needed to vent

That was weak of him. I wouldn't fork up more. People have to read the rules and realize the buyer shouldn't become the victim of their mistakes.

Ebay's shipping calculators are so far off it's pathetic. I always increase the shipping weight by 1/3. Then in my ads I honestly tell people if it's more it's my loss, if it's less I refund the difference.

Yeah, no way I'd send him double what he had listed. If he made that big of a mistake he needs to learn his lesson so he doesn't do it again. I agree with your statment that $30 seemed high, much less asking for more.

don't take this offensively but it must suck living in canada. I'm like you as far as buying alot of parts on e-bay, and sometimes the shipping quotes are crazy. I hope you end up getting everything you've paid for.
