Default a few questions

I resently bought a 2001 Erion racing edition. Got a good deal on it. I was wondering if any one can tell me is there any differences in the Erion Edition versus a regular 929 or is it just the paint? Someone told me it had Erion cams and a full Erion race exhaust. I have had several ninja zx 10 & zx 11s. but i am currious because a friend of mine has a 2000 929. Also what is the purpose of the baffle in the air box? My friends doesnt have that. And last one. What difference would a power commander make? Will it take the speed governor off or only adjust the fuel-air curve?

The Erion is just a fancy paint job. You can get the race bits from Erion but they aren't standard.

The baffle is for coming out :-) It is a pretty standard modification.

On the PC, it will depend on the rest of your setup. It sits in line with the standard ECU to modify the mapping. On the standard bike it can make throttle response smoother. It comes into its own when you have a K&N and a modified exhaust system.

Hope this helps.

Erions are just like the 1000RR Respols, factory racing paint decals and paint with a black frame other than that they're the same. The power commander will help fine turn the power and torque curve throughout the powerband of the bike. I wouldn't suggest a K&N for the 929, many people have done dyno runs with the K&N and with a stock filter and have actually lost 2-3hp with the K&N.

the guy i bought it from has put a k&n air filter on it, a corbin seat , and carbon fiber tank pad and fender. he also went down a tooth on the rear sprocket. so i do need to take the baffle out of the air box right? does anyone know where i can get a used pc for my bike? my budget isnt very understanding because of my recent purchase of the 929. also maybe an exhast?

the corbin is a good addition, the standard seat is a plank :-)

the gearing change at the back will throw your speedo off by about 3%. it is pretty common to change the gearing. for example, mine is running 15/44. standard is 16/43. you can never have too many sprockets ...

the k&n is not a big deal one way or the other. it is unlikely that you will notice any real difference. i am not sure about the baffle change. for the pc3 you can check ebay.

there is another recent thread on favorite one-mods and your mods will depend on your needs. for me, i don't really need any more power, given i hardly know what to do with the 130bhp that is already there. so, my order would be

tires
steering damper
stainless brake lines
end-can (just for the noise)
pc3 (to make the noise a little more go - though expect maybe 5bhp if that -- but to make the go better)

after that the sky is the limit .. check the erion catalog

i hope this helps a little..
