Default Erion Exhaust question

okay for those of you who know or have erion exhaust on your bikes, how do I tell if it is the full exhaust or slip on, may sound retarded but I cant tell..getting ready to put the power commander on here in the next couple weeks and the maps are different,
the shop I bought the bike off of said it was full exhaust but to me it looks like stock with the bolt on can..

i don't have erion, but I believe the "full" exhaust would include new headers. If my assumption is correct, you will no longer have the HTEV on the "full" system. you probably want confirmation on that though.

Yeah, you can check for the HTEV. You can also look at where the muffler connects to the pipe. Most likely if it's a full exhaust it will be just slipped on and connect with springs. If it's the stock system with a slip-on, it will have 3 bolts that connect the muffler. Hope that's not too confusing.

I wouldn't go with the "3 bolts" theory. I believe that even some full systems for this bike mate the can and the mid-pipe together with bolts. Anyway, look where your mid-pipe connects to the header and if the HTEV is not there it is a true full system. If you don't know what the HTEV is I believe there are pictures on this forum. Hope that helps.

i have a full erion system and the can slips on the mid pipe and is held with springs! not saying for sure that all of them are like that, but i would think so..... and it definetely does not have an HTEV

I also have a full Erion Exhaust and there is no bolts where the canister connects, just the springs. See the picture.
