CORBIN OR SARGENT
I am lookin at buying a new seat. I was just wondering what other people have to say about the two. I just want to take some decent long rides and be able to ride longer than an hour and a half without getting seat cramp. what one is a better more comfortable seat?
Hi ..
I can't speak to the comparison but I replaced my stock seat with a Corbin got from eBay, 2nd hand in great condition, for under $200.
The seat is -way- more comfy than the stock and makes hours in the saddle an option. It does change the riding position, essentially dropping you about 1.5" and taking you back about 3/4". For me, that makes it a harder stretch on my knees when I am rding with my ***** on the pegs.
Also, you sit -in- the seat, not -on- like the stock saddle. Which means that if you like getting your bum off the seat for sprited riding you have to work a lot harder.
I believe that the Sargent is very similar, and some say more comfy again. My choice was made with a combo limited budget and what was available.
Hope this helps.
