Default code 9 problem or something more

Hi everyone new person here. I have a 01 929 erion that i lowside across the track going about sixty then hit dirt making i highside into a rock wall smashing everything on the front right side of the bike in nov 2008. I cleaned it up the best i could and set it up for storage until i could find the money to fix it. My boyfriend got it put back together in feb 2011. The bike is now throwing code 9. Were already replaced the IAT sensor and still does it. So we figure its the wire somewhere. my question is. The bike starts and idles fine and even runs fine until about 100 miles on the tank. Then at slow speeds it starts running rough and gets progressively worse until it won't stay running unless holding the throttle open. it does start easy everytime after i cuts off so far. it is running a slight bit rich but not by much. is this still a IAT problem or is it something else.

thanks for any help

Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator?

not yet but your second person now to bring that up. When you were haven problem with yours did your bike throw a code for it? Did the problem get worse as the bike ran. Like putting a hundred miles on the tank. Thanks for the info
