I need a cheap battery that doesn't need to last too long, just to the end of the year atleast. Does anyone know a good place to get a cheap one? They have some on ebay for a little over $70 after shipping. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

just curious why do you think you need a battery ? are you having electrical problems ?

 

It hasn't been riddin in 5 months and it had a cheap battery in it and when my friend went to charge it he did it too fast and it got really hot and now the rubber that seals the top has melted. Do you know of an online place that is cheap?

 

sounds like a cheap battery is what got you into this situation

 

walmart has one for a cbr900 in stock and it fits and works in my 929 just fine. second season on it and no problems.

well I checked and bought one, they were 80 bucks with tax for the 'xtreme sealed battery'

and just as luck would have it mine died on me today!

 

Does anyone know if a 99 CBR600 or a 99 CBR 1100XX would have the same battery as a 929? Those were the closest they listed at Wal-Mart and they are dirt cheap there so I'd love to get it there.

 

measure the battery in your 929 and compare it to the ones at walmart, the dimensions are usually on the box. thats how i found mine. also make sure the posts are in the same positons. my drz uses a reverse pattern on the battery posts and the wires arent long enough so i had to get that exact battery.

 

I would measure it but my bike is 150miles away in Tampa. I need the battery to drive it over here to school in Daytona Beach. Could someone help me out and measure theres for me? I'd really appreciate it.
