this is what i came up w/. 4 1/2 inches deep. 5 7/8 long and 3 3/8 wide. the negitve side of the battery is in the right rear, nearest to the muffler. the number on my battery is GTX9-BS its an everstart from walmart. my battery fits pretty close to perfect so it cant be any bigger any way.

RE: cheap battery?
I went to Sams CLub and Walmart today for a battery and neither of them carry a specific one for the 929. So I picked up an Everstart ES12BS... the size seems right but will it be ok since it says 12 and ours are supposed to be 10? dscort says he has a 9, so is it ok to run with a 12?
