changing spark plugs

is it easier to just take the tank and airbox off?

That's the way I always do it. Just remember there is no fuel shut-off.
Prop the tank up using a string tied to the helmet strap. This works well enough so you don't spill any fuel.

yep, hang the tank up carefully and take your whole airbox off... make sure not to over tighten!

I did my plugs the first time while I had the tank off to be changed. Man after that I can't imagine why anybody would wanna do it from the front. ( 'Course, I feel that way about a LOT of stuff ...lol)
