Hi all,
The LCD display on my 2000 RRY Blade has started to malfunction.
It started with the speedo intermittently not reading my speed and staying at zero, now im lucky if it will work at all.
Then a few weeks later my total mileage went from reading 21295 to zero then to 99999.
My ODO is also not reading correctly, after a 42 mile journey to work it was only reading that i'd covered 31 miles.
My friend has had the clocks apart to see if there has been any water ingress or scorch marks from bad wiring but its all good and from what we can tell the wiring is fine too from the clocks back.
Can anyone please shed some light on this problem or maybe offer some advice as were now both stumped.

Sounds like the circuit board is malfunctioning. do you know anybody that has a working one to try or put yours on their bike?

 

Unfortunately I dont know anyone else local to me with a 929.

My only other option option would be to take it to a local Honda dealer but I don't want to spend the big bucks until I have ruled everything that I can do out first.

 

my cluster was malfunctioning as well but the problem i was having was that the tach wouldn't spin at all and the lcd was completely blank. I was lucky enough to find one about an hour and half drive, paid a hundred bucks and swapped them and it ran perfect from the get go. Just try to keep an eye on craigslist as much as you can.
