Question CBR Sprockets and Parts Swap

Does anyone know of a sprocket combo that will help the 929 with top-end but still allow the bike to pull through to redline?

Also hows the 520 conversion? worth the weight savings if any?

Other question is does anyone know what parts of of the 04 and later
1kRR's will bolt onto a 2k 929? Im looking for parts that improve the performance, weight and handling of the bike.

Thanks.

micron full exhaust, air filter, power commander, -1/+2 sprockets.

it will feel like an entirely different bike

I agree with exhaust, air filter and PC being good upgrades BUT...

As far as sprockets go the OP wants top end, not more acceleration. If you want top end you would need to do +1/-2 (or +1/-1) for the sprockets, the combo mentioned above (-1/+2 would give you better acceleration but would cut down your top end a bit)

how much top end are you lookin for? 165 mph not enough? i think itll be a give and take thing , to get more out of the top end with sprockets , yer gonna sacrifice somthin on yer low end....

Bikes come geared to the moon from the factory, if you're riding street there is no way to gear it but down. The only reason you would gear up would be for super high speed tracks with no chicanes.

520 is not worth the weight savings unless you're racing

The bike is going on the track...
I like speed, and to answer the question above No - 165mph is not ENOUGH lol
i have gone faster and its addictive.

I understand that in most cases on most tracks i wont be breaking 100mph so gearing down for better accl. is better solong as you dont end up in the inbetween area's of the rpm range in corners.

So best sprocket combo to start with?
and i guess go with the 520 for track purposes right?

Thanks
