You may need to charge up the battery first and run it. If you only let it run for10min ata time you might not charge up the battery enough. It's more than likely dead becausethe plugs being fouled and trying to start it.

You have three threads of the Bumblebee.....we need pics of the poor thing!

That would be a little different. Don't run up the bank account too much in one month!

so you have no power at all? when my stator went bad it still ran but the light and all were very dim.

im trying to understand you,the engine stalled and would not restart?

you did remember to replug the stator harness. check where the bat. grounds into the chassis. make sure all your electrical connections are tight and clean.

if you have a muti meter i can tell you how to check.

Right the bike just lost all power and did not start back up I plugged the stator up. I will check the grounds and all the connections are tight and clean. If I can’t find the problem ill probably just take it in to the shop. I just hate to do that i've managed to fix ALL the other problems with the bike. I’m telling you if I could find another bike that handled like the 929 and had the power id trade. But I can’t so I guess ill keep dumping money into her. After I check the grounds how can I check if it is working right without riding it around and waiting for it to die on me? I do have a multi meter

Dude - your problems sound EXACTLY like mine.

In my haste to reassemble the bike for warm weather, I forgot to connect one of the two connectors to the rectifier.

Brand new battery dying in a day and a half - got maybe 8 starts out of the bike before kaputz. I would lose instrument cluster, then I would have to fight the idle to keep the bike running - if I had a nice straight, no problem. But if I was in traffic faggedaboudit.

Take your seat off and double check that you have BOTH connectors connected. They're both covered by that dust cover so it can be pretty easy to overlook...

At least that's what I tell myself to make me feel better. Give it a shot.

i guess you need to charge your batt. well enough to power the bike for a few minutes. disconnect your stator plug/ harness. start your bike, you may need a 2nd person but you need to hold the rpms at 5k. take your multi meter an setto readfor ac amps. touch two of the threeleads on the stator plug, and you should get about 65-80 amps i believe, give or take alittle. check all theleads with each other(3 combinations). if its reading like 15 -20 amps then you know the stator or the rotor is bad. if the amps are high thenits problely your rectifier
