I had a slight course correction. No one (including me) was digging the white, so we changed...

She might be a little out of time.

She is alive again! I finished up shimming the valves, installing the Ape cam chain tensioner, and installing the 954 throttle bodies. I fired her up and was met by a much nicer idle. I'm very, very happy with the progress.

The list of things I need to take care of before I can ride is dwindling.

- new collars for the wheels - PO lost two of them.
- tune the bike for the throttle bodies
- check the fan
- install headlights
- fill the forks with oil
- install new brakes
- weld in a new ear for the stator side case - PO broke off an ear leaving a pesky oil leak.

I may have to pull the engine to weld the ear, but that's cake. It shouldn't be long.

- new collars for the wheels should be here tomorrow.
- Power Commander should be here Friday
- the fan is dead, but I happen to have one lying around
- new headlights are here and will install them tonight
- fill the forks with oil
- install new brakes - waiting for the new collars
- I'm checking with a shop this evening to see if I need to pull the engine before they weld in the new ear.

Holy Cow!! Looking good! You haven't wasted any time. I like the black/ copper combo. I'm going to strip mine this fall/winter and powder coat the entire frame and swing arm black. I'm glad to see it looks good that way, even with no fairings! 929's are just good lookin' bikes.

spoke too soon about no fairings... Didn't see page 2. Still looks incredible! Nice work.
