Stock bolts are M10x1.25x70mm. I ordered a set of T-rex racing sliders and they came with two different size/length bolts. For the left side, they say the boltprovided (M10x1.25x90mm) is correct. I told them no it is not. For the right side the bolt was to short (M10x1.25x70mm). For those sliders, I need a pair of M10x1.25x80mm. These are fine thread with a 1.25 pitch. If using the offset slider (for the left) they said use the 90mm bolt, which is too long, but will work if using 4-5 washers. The right side bolt (the 70mm) is too short and will only catch on the first couple of threads not allowing the bolt to be tightened enough.

Only socket head cap bolts will work because of the size of hole in the ID of the frame slider. M10x1.50x80mm won't work either because they are a course thread bolt and you never use course thread bolts on metals as fine thread will have greater tightening option and not to strip out the material from which you are bolting into.

have fun.

So what did you up doin illushun? I really don't wanna return these because a) i have to pay for shipping and I know they're the right sliders with the wrong bolt, b) they're probably not going to accept my return because I ravaged the package like a kid on christmas day,

Add/Edit: I just talked to vortex, which told me that the bolts are supposed to be 10x1.25x65 ...[:@][sm=dontgetit.gif]

i have vortex sliders, they worked fine... you do have 2 bolts for each slider, correct? one for the base and then the bigger one toconnect the puck to the base? Ill check mine when I get home from my shift tommorow night and get you the sizes of the bolts, vortex specific, unless somebody gets them first

that'd be great Rydinred, just so i could make sure the bolts are the right ones for the package.

Which makes me wonder,,,if they're not fitting on my bike, whats wrong with my bike?

so i haven't returned the sliders yet, mainly cuz i've been busy and stubborn. Instead i've been going around trying to find M10x1.25x90 but nobody has it.. can't even find a place to custom make it online.

if anyone knows and could tell me - could i buy a M10x1.50x90 bolt and tap 1.25 threading over it?
