Hey I'm new to the 929 and have a tank that has a leak from damage. Anyone know if a 954 tank will fit on my 929? Also are any other CBR bike parts interchangeable with mine? I got a 2000 929RR? Please help! [sm=feedback.gif]

 

won't fit, you can swap out the the wheels, forks, rotors, clip ons, swing arm. exhaust(?), and a few other things I believe with the 954. Where is it leaking? You might just need a $3 gasket.

 

i dont know if it matters but the mounting point on the back part of the 954 tank is different from the 929.

would the instrument cluster from the 929 fit the 954 i need a gauge cluster and was just wondering if it would fit

not sure .. check the manual for both bikes (available as pdf on-line) to see if the connectors are the same. my guess would be not, and yet you might be lucky!

another option, if you need new gauges, would be to try a veypor unit (http://www.veypor.com/) .. you lose the temp and gain a whole lot more ..

 

the thing about gauges is that you can mount allmost any gauges to any bike as long as your good with a wring diagrammy buddy is rocking rr gauges on his zx6r
