Well my friend and I just installed a 954 motor into a 929 but you'll have to retune the bike to run on the 954 motor !

When we installed the motor it ran really rich and the horse power was lost at about 114hp with the retune it went to 143hp!

Hope this helps you!

Jp

hmmm ahh 1 sick im not trying to be a jerk or anything but id think it would be to much for you to handle considering you had a hard time with basic electrical diagnosis for your fan . it takes skills and having tools to do the job right . just keep it simple and stick to what you have for now these bikes are way fast i was going to swap but its just not worth it to me im selling a 03 954 and or parting it out

Yes its a direct sway, you just have to change out one of the sensor from the old motor on to the 954 motor

You can't even figure out / understand basic wiring when 8 people tell you about it and give you pictures, PLEASE stay away from a "954 conversion" project.

Better yet.. actually do it. Take pictures(if your phone doesn't break for 3 years) and post it up in the "Laugh or Lose" thread.

If you get it 1_sick, I know for a fact 74demon will help, LOTS. He is very knowledgeable with the 929 and such. I will be deploying in May and will have VERY limited computer access, if any, for a while. I would love to follow it. I am just phucking with you about the electrical issues, don't take me too serious. But you will have to post up some pictures...
