just turned 14000 miles on my 00. what is the valve train maintance schedule for the 929? do they need to be adjusted? and how much does it usually cost (non-dealership)? I think mine makes exsessive noise but then i was told thay they do have noisy valve train.

what are your thoughts?

 

well...it's really not that difficult to do, just time consuming...if you have basic skills and take your time.

the interval is like 16K i believe, but i could be wrong. i don't think your valves will need adjusting unless you repeatedly hit redline and what not. they should all still be in spec...dealer will charge you around 200 bucks to check and adjust...but actual checking? probably just 1 hour of work.....

Why not post the site?? is it 929 specific or valve check in general??? The easy part is checking clearence however adjusting is a bitch.
