Default 929 indicators nightmare

I got this 929 just a few months ago. The indicators are acting very weird. When it is very cold, early morning in garage the indicators refuse to flash for about 6/7 seconds. When the weather is warm/hot they will work pretty much straight away.
The last owner has done a poor job of fitting mini indicators, bulb not led, there was an led flasher relay on which I have now put a genuine Honda flasher back on. The front are 23w bulbs the rear are now 21w bulbs, was 10w, but it still refuses to flash straight away. When it does start flashing you can hear the relay click about 4 times very quick then flashes correctly.
Any help or pointing in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Hi bud, I'd start by getting hold of the service manual and look at the wiring and cable routing diagrams so that you can check all connections and wiring is in good order. I personally would put the indicators back to stock. That could well sort it so the electrics are working as they were engineered to do so.

Keep us informed with how you go with it mate.

Hi,
Thanks, I picked up a manual and checked the wiring and connectors. The strangest issue is when it's cold they don't work correct but when it's warm weather they work perfectly. I can't put the stock indicators back on as the previous owner has cut off the rear end. I have though put the bulbs back to original power.
