929-954 Ergos
I been riding my F3 for 2 seasons & am looking to move up to a bigger bike. I have enjoyed the comfort of my F3 & want have similar on my next bike. Most of the reviews I have read point to the ZX-9R as most comfy. I like the looks of the 929 & 954 better but not sure of the ergos. I like to go on the occasional 200 or 300 mile ride and would like to hear any of your opinions. I am 5' 6", 150 lbs & 42 y.o... Also if anyone has done any mods..i.e. risers, windscreen, tank or tail bag....I would really like to keep riding Honda...

dog, my old F2 was the most comfy sport bike i ever had, started riding blades about 7 years ago, and while im a honda fan to the bone , my size being 6' 2" and 240 lbs. my rides are short , my hands and wrist begin to hurt after an hour or less(but ive broken both of my wrist in the past), but i know that you dont get this kind of bike with comfort as a top priority, i get on it and shred for an hour and put her up. if you want comfort and speed concider a VFR, but thats for you to decide, i absolutly love my 929 and can say that the raw power overrides the comfort issue when thats what your craving.all that crap said , i will say that with your size you will plolly be fine with it.GL

I just did an Iron Butt (1000 miles around Lake Michigan in 24hours, just submitted my receipts) a few weeks ago on my 929. My left hand and right index finger felt a little numb for a couple days and obviously my butt was sore. It really wasn't so bad because I was stopping for gas every 150miles. I've found that this bike is much more comfortable than any 600 I've ridden because of the size. The extra 1-2" in every direction adds up and really gives you room. I have an 83 goldwing that I shift positions on more often because of the upright position. It's a lot like taking a crap and then reading a magazine in the stink for too long, cuts off blood to the legs a bit.

Thanks for the replies..My F3 is like a little buzz bomb if I have to cruise for awhile on the interstate. Most of my rides are around 100 to 150 miles in the twistys weekends with a 30 mile commute to work during the week..Love the look of the 929s, they are hot! Are the Clip-Ons mounted below the triple tree?

I routinely take my 929 on longer trips (200-400miles) and have done longer trips on it as well.
The best mod I did was to get rid of that hard seat foam, I pulled the staples out of the stock seat cover and replaced the foam with some memory foam I found in a wall mart seat cover. Way more comfy.
Also a cruise control (throttle clamp) seems to help. I dont use it much, but am glad I have it when I need it.

I just moved up from a CBR 600 F4i because it was a "buzz bomb".
My 954 is smooth and sweet on back roads and the interstate. Great bike!
I'm 6' 1" and 65 years old. I installed bar risers and a sargent seat and can ride it all day without discomfort.
I have a set of Heli Bars for a 929/954. PM if you would like to know more about them.
