2007 RR Ergos
I currently have a 2005 f4i. I was thinking of selling it (or trading it in) for a 2007 RR. The only thing is that I am wondering how comfortable the RR is. I bought the f4i because of the extremely comfortable riding position. How different are the 2005 f4i and 2007 RR regarding riding position, comfort, etc. I am about 5'11"
You are going to be arched over a bit more. (more aggressive, forward slanted position.) The 07's raised the bar a little bit (not the phrase "raised the bar", but literally, they raised the handlebars up so it's not "as" aggressive, but compared to the F4i, it's still going to be different, but not uncomfortable.

taking the weight off your wrists bytightening your legs around the tank for balance can help on the rr.

ergonomics can almost always be changed to suit you, usually without affecting the bikes geometry or proper suspension setup
I wouldn't let something like that keep me from buying a bike I want
just bought the rr.... prev had a yamaha 600r (which is similar to the f4i) and the diff is drastic. if you go to the rr the riding position is much more aggressive, but so is the bike. My advice is to ride a friend's bike and see if you want to make the switch.
im 5"11 and have an 07 and rode for two hours today and got a little sore at the end of the day maybe last 20 mins. As far as comfort its great for how agressive it is. I like it no complaints here. I also noticed today after a long run the bars dont vibrate that much. i know some bikes numb your hands like crazy. The RR on the other hand just made my wrist a bit tired.
i have an 07 and it is a bit more crouched to the handles but the whole feel is much better. it feels like the stance is much lower and more comfortable than my old 02 f4i. i would get it if i were you. the bike is much more peppier too.
ive heard nothing but good things about the new 07... the moved the bars a bit and the seat is a tad different. it's aggressive no doubt, but so is every other 600 out there. as long as you dont go with the R6, you're all set. I personally like the GSXR the best in the 06-07 category, but i do LOVE my 2004 RR.
