i.ve picked up a used 929 but as i notice most 929's have white or graffix in back saying 929........... mine doesn't. i looked where it says model and it says 900rr but where i bought it they said it was a 929. my friend called becausehewanted to buy the red one and the lady said they've only have had 954's so i'm confused? help please.

so many people get confused by this i really wished it was written differently.. it also concerns me that alot of people dont know the difference between a 900rr and a 929/954 [:@].. cause if they did we wouldnt have these type of questions (not directed soley @ you phokoff)

is your bike fuel injected ? if yes, its a 929 or 954.. if no its a 900rr

easiest way to answer that question.. i fyou dont know if its fuel injected or not .. does your bike have a choke? if yes its CARB, if it DOESN'T have a choke it's fuelinjected

on my bike on the right side of the engine it says 929 ccmi think you can see it threw the fairings on the right side

thats the best pic i have of the tail but it is my 929rr. I have been told I have a "red tail" edition. personally i think the previous owner took off the decals and that is why it is solid red. here is another pic....

The headlight looks different from my 929, but it looks like they could have just put a red decal on the lens to make it appear that it has split headlights. also, the rear wheel has a fender hugging it that my 929 doesn't have. it's possible that it's a special edition, or someone just did some customizing and didn't like the white on the tail with 929RR on it.

 

yeah that is a sticker to split the lens. also has an aftermarket rear fender, powdercoated rims. I figured someone took the decals off the tail to make it a solid red. someone at a bike night said it was a special edition. never really believed him cause myself and the previous owner did some customizing.

 

yeah, i took the white decal off of mine....and it looks just like that....there wasnt much white anywhere else on the bike, so i just took it off cause i thought it looked like it stuck out too much....
