Default 929 2 gear/ wheelie problem

Hey guys I have a 2000 929 stock gearing with a pipe. The bike has just shy of 14k miles. 1 gear I can clutch or power it up no problem and ride it out but in 2 gear is another story. It pulls hard in 2 but can't clutch it up. I had my buddy try it too who is slot better than me and he couldn't do it either. It does matter what speed or rpm it at u can red line it and dump the clutch and it Bly goes up 6in or so then falls back to the ground just as fast as of came up. I don't feel like the clutch is slipping. The guy at the bike shop said check the air filter
But I don't think that is it any help would be awesome thanks.

On stock sprockets I can clutch mine up as slow as 15-20mph. Just keep practicing.

i watched a youtube about 2nd gear clutchs... dude was almost WOT then popped clutch.. i tryed lastnight and it came up a few inches...nothing big at all... Try with more alot more power and then pop, you'll notice it will come up softly. im on the same boat as you with this 2nd gear clutchin

I mentioned it in a thread before...before I had my valves adjusted, timing chain and tensioner changed...my bike was EXACTLY like this. Bawless! Once that was done, I was stunned at how easy it would power up. With your mileage, you should have this done anyway.

But, in the mean time try this. 2nd gear, 72 mph. Let the throttle out, then bounce up with hard acceleration. You should come up with power. You'll have to seriously knock the **** outta it to get to 12 o'clock.

2ND gear roll about 55 60 clutch it till about 10 or 10.5. Sit back as far as you can when you start to feel it come up lean back and it will help. it's not all about the bike it's also about body position. but start off slow and learn within your limits. I've been doing wheelies for awhile and got over confident and looped mine a month ago. thank god for the cage
