Default 2000 CBR929RR ecu issues

Hey y’all I got a 2000 CBR929RR that needs a ecu but having a hard time finding one. Does anyone know if any other year bikes, the ecu would work from?

You can probably use ECU from 2001 CBR929RR.

But no other ECU from different model will work. Programming is so different, it will blown up your engine.

What kind of issues are you having?

Its only firing on number 3 and 2 cylinders, number 1 and 4 won’t fire when you start the bike but will fire if being tested. It’s at the Honda shop right now they said they tested everything and it’s leading them to the ecu cause nothing else seems to be wrong

ECU failure is extremely rare, only seen 1 in over 40-yrs of riding and owning over 30 bikes.

Most likely it's some sort sensor that's out of spec or mis-adjusted. Crank/cam sensor most likely. Also wiring and corroded connectors are common. We'll see what shop finds, if they're any good. Oscilloscope most handy tool, doubt anyone there knows how to use one to fix in 5-minutes.
