The top left? Or when you are sitting on the bike, the top right?

Because if its the top right, it may be your cam chain tensioner is loose.

Just a guess though, Im sure someone else will come on.

it is loudest on the top left side of the motor sound almost like a nut it in the piston chmber slapping around. im going to pull the valve cover today after work and check timing. i also pulled the plugs last night and they were dirty but otherwise fine, no marks were the piston could have been hitting any of them.

NORMAL.... nobody swapped the engine. The tag will say 900RR and your engine should say 929cm³ this is how it comes from the factory.... why ????

Just wondering no biggy. Going to check the cct after work but I don't think that's it cause the noise is definately louder on the top left of the motor. Although I was looking at it and the cct was changed to a manual.

Top left is refering to sitting on the bike or stator side
