I am going to florida in 2 weeks and my rear tire is gone. my friend has a 170 reartire for me. will it fit safely?I am waiting for my taxes to get all new tires and since I'm going to florida I dont have extra cash on hand.
Is the 170 rear tire unsafe only for a week.

I don't know. If I were you, I would find a race take off. They are usually cheap and good tires. You should have more than enough tread down the center, since there aren't to many curves out there.

 

I personally have never heard of anyone going 170 on the rear. I can't imagine it being that bad.

You will flatten out the tire alot, going to ride and handle like sh*t. Put a new 180 or 190 on a credit card and pay it off when you get your taxes back.

 

just get a new effing tire. a 170? Get real.

there isnt a whole lot of left and right down here. the tire is gonna suck, but if its all you got i would say use it, but dont go crazy on it.
