Anyone here running a -1(14)/stock(43) w/stock chain? If so what difference did that make?

 

i ran a -1 on my gixxer 6 it helps quite a bit. i've got -1+4 on my 929and love it.. -1 gives it more low end torque without completely screwing your mileage. if I were you i'd try it and see if you like it. the front sprocket is only about 20 or 25 bucks and if you want more all you have to do is buy a new rear sprocket and chain. and a -1 will only knock off your speedo about 2% which I wouldn't even worry about. good luck let us know how it goes

 

and you probably don't want to run one new and the rest old I heard if you buy one you're supposed to buy them all at the same time unless they're relatively the same age. they wear faster when one is new and the others are old ( I had mine on my gixxer for about 4,000 miles and didn't have any problems, sssshhhhh)

 

I'm pretty sure i will wind up changing it all out to a -1/+4 520 later so I'm not to worried about the way it gets wore down. Just seeing if I will be happy with it for more then just 1 day. My gsxr 600 I was not happy till I had a -1/+11 and then I still wanted more. I'm just never happy. If I think I am that just means I'm about ready to change my mind. I have been around the woman to long..starting to be like her...and thats not good
