01 929rr speedometer help!

This seems pretty accurate so far, passed a couple "your speed" signs and had my buddy ride my R6 next to me I think the CBR reads 1MPH higher, not a big deal.

Not a noob question, the 929 is just new to you......
Look at your tank, on the right side of the tank is that long plastic piece that runs from the tank to the front fairing. That is the air intake tube cover. There are a few bolts that hold it on. I think at least 2 (954 has 2) mounting bolts. Once you remove it, you will see 2 main wiring harness, one blue and one white. Disconnect your battery first then disconnect those and inspect them.
