Has anyone had a luck finding any aftermarket or retro fit cooling fan for a 2001 CBR 929? Honda has discontinued the part so its no longer available? Any idea if a cooling fan off a 954 will work since the bikes are almost identical?

 

I have one of each. I can compare and get back to you.

 

Okay, here's the deal.

The fans are physically the same as far as size and mounting go. The only difference is the wiring. They both have 2 prong connectors, but the 929 fan ground from the connector incorporates the switch and an auxiliary ground. With some creative wiring, the 954 fan could be adapted to work.

If you haven't found one yet, I may part with the 954 fan I have.

 

Thank you for willing to part with the fan but I was able to find on in another state sitting on the shelf so will go ahead and purchase and put that in
