Default Won't stay running with choke off...

I have a '99 model 900RR it recently was repainted and had all the plastics off and gas tank. It was down for about a month and on yesterday once put back together the bike starts fine and I let it run until it was warm. But, as soon as you drop the choke it dies. Also if the throttle is turned a hair while the choke is drop it will run just fine then as well. what could the problem be?

I had the same problem after I bought mine. Your secondaries are clogged more than likley. Mine had sat for 4 yrs. But sitting for 1 month should not cause that problem

had a similar problem with an older bike. after much time wasted it turned out to be a faulty fuel tap restricting fuel flow. just an idea. good luck
