what kind of tires?
Dunlops are actually pretty good there grinder, no high performance sporting tire is truly meant to operate at top efficiency on a cold road, especially if its below or close to freezing. And, you will actually wear the tire faster because s the colder temps lower your running pressure no matter how diligent you are with your inflation routine. Under inflation also leads to increased wear. 2002 or 2008, I don't see any drawback to running what works and what saves you money. And I have the Z's so they aren't exactly outdated.
