Default upper fairing question???

ok hopefully someone can help me out and possibly take pics if they feel so inclined. i would like to know how the upper mounts to the bike, im gonna be doing a street fighter look so im wondering were the bottom 3 screws on either side of the upper fairing mount to??? are they only there if you have the mid cowling, or do they actually bolt to something on the bike, and pics of that would be awesome if someone could do the upper bolted to it or atleast were they bolt to, and are can you use the 94 upper gauge stay with the uppers through 99???? and what about the mirror stay????? thanks for any and all help, and the reason i ask is cuz i have a 94 upper not but just landed a job and want to purchase a 96-99 upper depending on what i can find cheaper or for a better deal. thanks for any and all help guys.

Default RE: upper fairing question???

The holes on either side of the fairing just bolt to the mid fairing, the upper fairing stay is different 93-94 are the same, 95-97 are the same, and 98-99 are the same too, but not interchangeble between years. The guages on the new bikes were electronic and the earlier ones had a cable from the front wheel..the same goes for the fairing stay. The 98-99 fairing is WAY different ( wider )
